A Hallamrk production, filmed near London, the sequences involved some clever post-production work. The scenes are multiple - layer composites of live-action and Time-Slice® footage. However, we decided to push the post-production technology even further by re-timing the Time-Slice® footage to match the live-action camera movement using our FloMo algorithm. The live-action shots were done on a simple track and dolly (no motion control here) and we used match-frames from the background to give us the data for the time/space curve for the Time-Slice® shots. Some of the elements were even filmed blue-screen and motion-matched back into the scenes. The results were immaculate motion-matches with the FloMo algorithm delivering sharp, pixel-accurate interpolated frames. New ground was broken in interpolating both the foreground subjects and the backgrounds.
