Macro Rig:
'Homage to Edgerton'
The 'macro' rig was built to capture images of microscopic events,
such as this sequence of shots showing a drop of milk landing in
a cup. A technique was developed to trigger the flash at very precise
intervals allowing the event to unfold shot by shot.
Edgerton was an American photographer/scientist who developed the
first ultra high speed flash images using subjects such as milk
drops, bullets in apples, baloons etc.
