The user controls all navigation around the 3D environment & works with related ‘hot spots’, embedded within each scene. AKQA, the agency responsible for Heineken’s global digital campaigns, contacted us with an idea for a new take on the old game of spot-the-difference. Every Time-Slice® scene depicts a different moment over the course of a football match, capturing the varied reactions of the guys supporting Heineken’s Star Players team. There are two instances of each Time-Slice® scene, between which we’ve changed – via some very careful rotoscoping & compositing – 8 objects, the user’s task is to spot those changes against the clock. Although delivering for the web all the shots were composited & graded in full HD, with the final 16:9 web crop being only a shade under full broadcast quality anyway.
