Who doesn’t love a bit of Eurovision razzamataz? Working closely with the director and lighting department we were assigned the task of creating individual animations for the 14 countries taking part in this contest. Each country’s musical arrangement was the inspiration for each dance screen, and in all cases we cut the graphics to the individual tracks to illustrate change of tempo, genre and style within one composition. The majority of the project was worked on in-house with continued correspondence with the director, then, as the project headed to Glasgow so did we. This meant we could tweak and harmonize the visuals with both track and camera shots right up until the live show, giving maximum control to the director. The final output was as eclectic as the performances themselves!
